Supervision & Consultation

Are you looking for a clinical supervisor?

Supervision is such a crucial process for new clinicians and their professional development. My first interest in becoming a supervisor was ignited by an incredibly supportive supervision experience during my internship. I felt supported, encouraged, and gained a wealth of clinical knowledge. Through his guidance, I was empowered to think critically and independently, and I came to deeply understand my role as a therapist and the impact of a great supervisor.

Unfortunately, I have also experienced less supportive supervision, where there was little guidance, expertise, ethics, or engagement. One supervisor overshared personal details, seemed lost in her role, and failed to uphold professional standards. It was incredibly disheartening and felt like a complete waste of time.

Both positive and negative experiences have deeply shaped my approach and dedication to being a supervisor. I understand how overwhelming and anxiety-inducing it can be to enter this field, and I believe a good supervisor can act as an anchor, offering guidance and support during the often stressful learning process.

As a supervisor, my primary goal is to nurture, teach, and model core competencies, helping to develop competent, effective, and ethically grounded clinicians. I aim to cultivate professionals who possess strong theoretical knowledge, excellent clinical skills, and a deep commitment to ethical care. I am committed to creating supervisory relationships based on trust, openness, vulnerability, and a shared commitment to quality work. My goal is for my supervisees to feel supported, valued, and empowered, knowing that I believe in their unique strengths and potential. I want to help develop newer clinicians who are confident in their work.

My supervision rate is $150 per hour for individual supervision and $85 per hour per supervisee for dyadic supervision. This rate reflects the extensive training and experience required to become an AAMFT-approved supervisor, which includes 30 hours of class instruction, 36 hours of supervised supervision, and at least 180 hours of providing supervision over an 18-month period. I have also completed the Washington State Approved Supervisor credentials, which require 15 hours of class instruction and 25 hours of supervision training.

If you're seeking supervision and feel we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out with any questions!
